Matt Porteous | Photographer "Inspired by life"
Award winning photographer, Matt Porteous has more recently been commissioned by the Middleton family to photograph the wedding of their daughter, Pippa, to James Matthews. After being selected by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to photograph Prince George on his 3rd birthday.
As a young boy, Matt showed an unusual interest in photography and in his parent's photo albums. His first yellow, underwater Minolta accompanied him everywhere. It was through that simple lens that he learnt to capture the sublime beauty of nature.
Matt’s love and delight in his surroundings is evident in his work. He captures and reveals the expression and detail that is seldom evident to the naked eye. His images are alive with emotion and movement; he enters the world of that image and allows us a glimpse of his excitement, his humour, his soul.
His mentors, close friends and travel opportunities have all influenced his approach to his work over the past 20 years. He is passionate about his photography and always has been. The love he has for his work, the people and places that he encounters along the way is apparent in the detail and perspective, in the stories he tells in his photographs.
" I never have a set way of shooting. Every couple is different, so every wedding will be different. After all, my role is a storyteller, focusing on the story of your day, with all its unique atmosphere, fun and beauty. It's always a pleasure when I work with couples who give me the freedom to be creative and capture the natural emotions of their wedding "
I'm fortunate to work with amazing couples in some of the most beautiful destinations around the world. Building a personal relationships and trust with my clients is a must before the wedding day, through a face to face consultation or on Skype, to truly understand my clients personality and vision for their wedding.

Max Burnett | Photographer
Max's creativity has been the foundation of his studies through school and into university, excelling in Art, Design and Architecture. His journey into photography started during the years spent studying Architecture at university. Travelling around Europe, through beautiful atmospheric places, enticed Max to pick up a camera, as he found that this was the best way to graphically and visually record the surroundings. His tutors encouraged him to 'draw what he saw' but his sketches left a lot to the imagination and never did any justice to the incredible atmospheres and spaces that he explored.
“That's why I enjoy photographing weddings so much. I love to observe the people and interactions at the heart of a wedding day. My job is to capture that unique nature and search out those often unseen moments of your day that could slip past without being noticed.”
Those details are the subtle ingredients that reflect you and your wedding day, often becoming the most cherished visual memories. Our unobtrusive photography, informal style and eye for detail means we capture not just the visual beauty of your wedding day but the magic of your union.

Becky Lee | Photographer "Dancing Supermum"
As a dancer in some of London’s most iconic musicals including Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, On The Town, White Christmas and Hello Dolly as well as dancing with Sarah Brightman’s European Tour. Rebecca Lee’s career has taken her all around the world. You might even have spotted her as part of the cast in Mama Mia the movie, as well as presenting on Nickelodeon.
As a photographer, Rebecca brings a creative eye, natural energy and a keen sense of artistic storytelling to her work.
‘To me, the best thing about photography is being able to find someone’s story and capture it in a single moment. That’s what truly inspires me. It’s hard to find another career that gives you such artistic freedom and enjoyment as dance. But to me, being a photographer is very close to the creative focus and energy you feel as a dancer. It’s essential to translate the raw beauty and emotive storytelling of a shoot through your lens, and be poised ready to capture that key moment. In dance it’s the climax of a performance, for example where the dancer jumps so high they look as if they’re never coming down.’
The most memorable part of her career has been the people she has met along the way. ‘You just can’t underestimate the importance of good relationships and surrounding yourself by like-minded people, stunning places and beautiful art that inspires you - that’s the key to constantly growing, improving yourself and your skill.’
Rebecca made the move from dancer to photographer in 2014, when she first arrived in Jersey, working alongside Studio_M.
